Kellen Pickard, L.Ac., MSTOM
Kellen graduated from the University Nevada, Reno with a B.S. in Human Sciences. Always interested and passionate about health and wellness, Kellen began looking into alternative ways of maintaining good health in all aspects of her life. Preventative medicine seemed like a very promising way to promote and sustain a healthy lifestyle. That is when she decided to pursue an education in Eastern medicine. She received a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and graduated in 2010. She is certified by the California State Board of Acupuncture and has been practicing since October of 2010.
Kellen's treatments consist of Acupuncture, Herbal and Nutritional Supplementation, Postural Assessment, Cupping, and Essential Oils, to name a few. She treats many ailments, but mostly enjoys treating Sports Injuries, Women's health, Pediatrics, and also does Facial Rejuvenation. She has a close working relationship with the San Diego Fire Department and enjoys helping firefighters maintain their health as well.
When Kellen is not working she enjoys hiking, camping, Martial Arts, traveling, spending time with her husband, 3 year-old son and their animals.
Her clinical experience involves working as a Sports Acupuncture Intern (San Diego, CA) and being a treating Acupuncturist at an Integrative Health Clinic (San Diego, CA) for 4 years. She is certified in Symmetry Postural Alignment (2011) and Aroma Acupoint Therapy. She is also currently completing a Pediatrics training course to further her treatment abilities with children.
